Tucker began his BSL Quarterly Notes for the “Friends of the Brotherhood”. Initially sent to 100 Anglicans throughout Australia these were used as a means of personal communication and an effective way of launching new schemes by mentioning them as ‘prayer points’ (Darling, 1982 The Church of England and the Great Depression 1929-1935 - Thesis for Master of Arts, Department of History, University of Melbourne pp.64-65).
